Join the Defi Inter-Alliances Challenge and get a chance to win a trip to France !

What is Défi Inter-Alliances?
The ‘défi inter-alliances’ is an international contest which allows students from all over the world to compete for the chance to win a selection of prizes. The contest involves answering various questions about French culture, including a wide range of topics that cover subjects such as geography, language, history, and art.

Alliance Française de Brunei Darussalam (AFBD) joined forces with AF Manila (Philippines), AF Medan (Indonesia), AF Penang and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) to form together the “Asie du Sud-Est” (South-East Asia) group to compete in the international competition.
​


There are 3 stages to the competition: 
Local selection phase: Each participating Alliance organises its own local selections during the month of October to select, through an online quiz, its two best learners.
For Brunei Darussalam, the local selection will be on 27th October 2022, Thursday at 7pm, to be held at Alliance Française de Brunei Darussalam premises.

Regional selection phase: The two winners from each AF will meet online in the regional finale on 9th November 2022, Wednesday at 7.30pm (Brunei & Malaysia time) / 6.30pm (Medan time).
​
International final: The winners of each region or country will meet in the international finale on Saturday 26th November 2022.

Prizes
For local selection in Brunei:
         1st winner - Free French private lessons at AFBD (5 sessions)
         2nd winner - "Dinner for two" takeaway by Chef Vincent Bostyn

         Other participants will each receive a voucher of Le French Corner.
For regional selection:
        The first 3 winners will participate in the international final and will also be awarded with:

• a 6-months online subscription to TV5-Monde (French television network broadcasting several channels of French-language programming)

• a 6-months subscription to Gymglish-Frantastique (personalized French online lessons delivered daily via email)

All participants to the regional selection from rank 3 will also win a 1-month subscription to Gymglish- Frantastique.
For international final:

         The first 3 winners will be offered a 15-day language stay in one of the Alliances Françaises de France.

• Members and students who are studying French at Alliance Française de Brunei Darussalam in October 2022 AND/OR have been a student of French language for a minimum of 50 hours in 2021-2022
• At least 16 years old on 15 October 2022
• Have a B1 level minimum
