ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE DE

BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

Since its establishment in 1986, Alliance Française de Brunei Darussalam has been fostering the Bruneians and the community whether Francophone or not with the French language and culture.

We are a local non-profit organisation, self-funded for our operational and teaching activities and we rely partly on some funding to bring our cultural program to our audiences in Brunei.

Under the presidency of Pehin Dato Haji Hazair Bin Haji Abdullah, former Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, and the auspices of the Embassy of France, we are a French- Bruneian organisation, that aims to play an important role as a conduit in linking both cultures.

Based in Tungku, Alliance Française de Brunei Darussalam provides classes to the public, schools/universities and corporates, official translations and holds multiple cultural events such as conferences, special events, cooking classes as well as two major annual events that are Francophonie - an international celebration of French language and culture - and the French Film Festival – celebrating French Films to discover or re-discover masterpieces of French cinema.

We are also an examination centre for Brunei and Borneo region for the official French language proficiency diplomas DELF-DALF issued by the French Ministry of Education that are required to study, work and immigrate to French-speaking countries.

For more than 35 years in the Sultanate, Alliance Française de Brunei Darussalam has been an authentic and unique environment where people can meet and share a genuine French experience and build connections with people of different backgrounds and cultures.

Bienvenue !
